Announcement for Contracting Service Providers (Trainers) to Conduct Capacity-Building Trainings

Project Name: Strengthening Women’s and Girls’ Leadership for Inclusive Governance and Civil Peace in Syria

GAV for Relief and Development Organization (GAV) is seeking to contract qualified and experienced female trainers to deliver capacity-building training aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of project participants, enhancing their performance and meaningful participation, and strengthening their ability to contribute to achieving the project’s objectives.

Training Locations

The trainings will be conducted in five Syrian governorates:

• Al-Hasakah
• Aleppo
• Damascus
• Homs
• As-Suwayda

Duration: 10 training days in each of the five governorates, according to a training plan and schedule to be agreed upon with GAV.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

The trainer will be responsible for:

• Designing and delivering interactive training sessions in line with the project objectives.
• Preparing and developing the required training materials and tools.
• Applying participatory training methodologies that are responsive to the needs of women and girls.
• Strengthening participants’ knowledge and skills in line with the project objectives.
• Conducting the required training assessments and evaluations.
• Preparing a brief report on the training implementation, outcomes, and recommendations.
• Coordinating with the GAV project team and adhering to the agreed-upon schedule.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant academic qualification in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in training and capacity building.
• Previous experience in training women and girls and/or civil society organizations.
• Good knowledge of the Syrian context and issues related to women’s leadership, inclusive governance, civic participation, and civil peace.
• Ability to design and deliver interactive and gender-responsive training sessions.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability and willingness to conduct trainings in the targeted governorates.

2. A Financial Proposal specifying the proposed cost for delivering the trainings for 10 days, including the daily training rate and any additional costs, if applicable.
