30 female beneficiaries from the southern countryside of Raqqa are getting ready to join the agricultural Green Fingertips project team launched by GAV4RD organization in September 2021 in its continued endeavor to support agriculture and economically empower the women. 

The new project tries to help the female beneficiaries to secure a constant income for them and to develop their skills in agriculture through training them on the latest technology that is used to produce the protected winter crops. This will contribute in achieving  a financial dependence for them through the agriculture and technology support program, and also within the context of supporting them socially to run their local community. 

The project of the Green Fingertips comes within the framework of the organization’s endeavor to support agriculture and to secure sustainable and stable livelihoods for the women . This will enhance their chances of coping with the challenges of life in different circumstances, and will increase their chances in playing a leading role in both the economic and society, in addition to the political one in the future. 

The project, which lasts for three months, secure investment chances for 30 female beneficiaries through providing them with standar greenhouses with all necessary equipment for the production of agricultural crops and marketing them locally. Also, the project will develop the female’s skills in care, irrigation and fertilization according to the latest technology. 

Additionally, the project will provide the female beneficiaries with vocational training in marketing so that they can get fair chances to compete in the local market. This is in accordance with the plan of technology and agricultural support which the organization’s team will present during the project’s period in an attempt to provide them  with the resources needed to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project. 

This project comes as a response to the large needs in the fields of livelihoods, securing constant job opportunities for the women, and securing part of the local markets’ needs of the winter crops that will contribute to prices’ decline that may reflect on the economic and social situation.
