Announcement for Contracting Service Providers (Facilitators) to Support the Delivery of Capacity-Building Trainings

GAV for Relief and Development Organization (GAV) is seeking to contract qualified and experienced female facilitators to support the delivery and facilitation of capacity-building training under the “Strengthening Women’s and Girls’ Leadership for Inclusive Governance and Civil Peace in Syria” project.
The primary role of the facilitator will be to support participants’ engagement, promote interaction during the sessions, and contribute to ensuring that the training is delivered effectively and smoothly.
Training Locations
The trainings will be conducted in five Syrian governorates:
- Al-Hasakah
- Aleppo
- Damascus
- Homs
- As-Suwayda
Duration: 10 training days in each of the five governorates, according to a training plan and schedule to be agreed upon with GAV.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Facilitator
The facilitator will be responsible for:
- Supporting the trainer in delivering capacity-building sessions and ensuring the smooth implementation of the training.
- Facilitating participants’ engagement and encouraging interaction and discussion during the sessions.
- Assisting participants in asking questions and expressing their views and experiences.
- Organizing group activities and exercises in coordination with the trainer.
- Contributing to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging training environment that encourages participation.
- Monitoring participants’ needs and communicating relevant feedback to the project team.
- Assisting with attendance management and training activities, as needed.
- Supporting the trainer in collecting participants’ evaluations and feedback.
- Contributing to the preparation of notes and reports related to the implementation of the training.
- Coordinating with the GAV project team and adhering to the agreed-upon schedule.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in facilitating workshops, training, or community-based activities.
- Strong communication and group discussion facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse groups.
- Ability to work with women and girls and create a safe and supportive environment that encourages participation.
- Good knowledge of the principles of civic engagement, leadership, and women’s empowerment.
- Knowledge of the Syrian context and experience working with civil society organizations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and coordinate with the trainer and project team.
- Ability and willingness to perform the assignment in the targeted governorates.
